Geneva Caudill

Abingdon, VA – Geneva E. Thomas Caudill, age 88, passed on Monday, October 27, 2014, at her home. She was born in Abingdon, VA on December 25, 1925. Geneva worked at Bristol Ammunition Plant during WWII and retired from Abingdon Harwood Manufacturing. She was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Dora Widner Thomas; brother, Robert Thomas; and three sisters, Emma Williams, Louise Wilcox, and Dorthy Millsap. Survivors include her son, Johnny Caudill and wife Marcella of Abingdon, VA; two sisters, Marjorie Thomas, and Mabel Cannon and husband Carl, both of Abingdon, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Rosedale Baptist Church with Dr. Don Paxton officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Ricky Thomas, David Millsap, Tommy Wilcox, Phillip Mosley, Roy Mitchell, Jerry Leonard, Daris Bowman, and Howard Bateman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class. Visitation with the family will be held 5:30-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
