George Stanley Rorrer

Bristol, VA- George Stanley Rorrer, age 48, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at his home. He was born to Dr. Gene Rorrer, Sr. and Glenda Stanley Rorrer on October 13, 1965 in Harrisonburg, VA. He graduated from Harrisonburg High School in 1984, attended ETSU, and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Barrington University. Stan worked in the manufactured homes industry as a sales representative for most of his life. He was baptized and inducted as a member of the Fountain of Life Bible Church in Johnson City, TN. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Edward Rorrer, Jr. of Abingdon, VA; sister, Trish Raynes and husband Chuck of Christiansburg, VA; two nephews, Matt and wife Nikki of Haymarket, VA and Chandler and wife Ashley of Pulaski, VA; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; lifelong friend, Don Barstow of Harrisonburg, VA; and beloved dog, Jonie.
