Gladys Mable Clear, age 96, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Valley Health Care Center.
She was born to the late David Wilbur Wagner and Margaret Bell Stout Wagner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Marvin Deward Clear, Sr.; four brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Marvin Deward Clear, Jr. of Meadowview, VA; daughter, Margaret Jackson of Abingdon, VA; grandchildren: Ray Clear of Danville, VA; Rita Keesee and husband Danny of Petersburg, VA; Angie Maye of Meadowview, VA; Steven Jackson of Lee, MA; Deborah D'Onofrio and husband Stephen of North Andover, MA; two sister-in-laws, Evelyn Browning and husband Sam of Abingdon, VA, and Jual Wagner of White Marsh, MD; ten great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:45 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Robby Walden, Joshua Maye, Jonathan Maye, Danny Keesee, Jerry Stophel, and Mark Trogdon will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will gather for a time of fellowship after the graveside service at the home of Deward Clear, 28334 Smyth Chapel Road, Meadowview, VA 24361.
