Harry L. Fullen

Mr. Harry L. Fullen was called home on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. He was born December 28, 1938 to Jacob and Olivene Fullen in Saltville, VA. At age 18, he entered the U. S. Air Force and served with pride for over twenty years. He was a long-standing member of Newman United Methodist Church and the VFW Post 8852.

Harry married Brenda J. Beckwith in 1961. To this union was born one child, a daughter, and two stillborn sons. In addition to his sons, he was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of over 52 years, Brenda J. Fullen; a daughter, Patrice (Darrell) Baldwin and three grandchildren, Bria, Darrell Jr. and Devyn, all of Beaumont, TX; brother James (Brooklyn) Fullen and sister Joyce (Warren) Lindsey, both of Meadowview, VA; sister Mattie (Lawrence) Mayo of Washington, D.C.; brother Jake (Shirley) Fullen of Upper Marlboro, MD; fourteen nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Newman United Methodist Church in Alexandria, LA, and interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pineville, LA. Winnfield Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
