Hazel Lee Wilson

January 12, 1925 — October 19, 2012

Hazel Lee Wilson, age 87, passed away at her home on Friday, October 19, 2012. Hazel was born January 12, 1925 in Tazewell County, VA to the late William and Dora Fletcher Jackson. She was a member of Beaverview Baptist Church in Bristol, VA and a choir member for 39 years.

In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Beecher Wilson; brothers, Burke Jackson and Frank Jackson; sisters, Ollie Ward and Lois Crabtree; brothers-in-law, Edward Ward, Winfred Harris and Jimmy Harris.

She has two surviving sisters, Hattie Harris and Margaret Harris; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Jackson and Clara Jackson; brother-in-law, Harold Crabtree.

She has four step children, Jean Kelly (Fred), Kitty Daughtery (Gerald), Carol Shorno (Dan) and Bob Wilson (Carol). She had many nieces and nephews and one special nephew she called her boy, Brad Crabtree.

Hazel had many good friends, her brothers and sisters in Christ. The family would like to thank Angela Little, her caregiver.

Funeral services will be held at 5:30 P.M. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Bobby Burrow officiating. Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
