Helen Ophelia Lail

Helen Ophelia Lail, age 78, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Grace Healthcare. She was of the Christian faith and her hobbies included gardening and collecting dolls. She was born to the late Bruce Maines and Mary Hyler Maines on March 20, 1935. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Brady Allen Lail; special grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Orfield; and sister, Lois Hyler.
She is survived by four daughters: Carol Miller Emmett of Hickory, NC; Cynthia Jean Stallard of Abingdon, VA; Tanya Miller Rutherford and husband Danny of Bristol, TN; and Angela Dawn Lail of the home; six brothers, Bobby, Mackie, Jimmy, Junior, Ray, and Jackie Hyler; sister, Betty Hyler; former husband, Herman Miller of Bristol, VA; six grandchildren, Patty Clark, Crystal Shook, Lori Berry, April Sanders, Tanya Whiteside, and David Rutherford; and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted by the family at a later date.
