Irene Walls DeBoard

Bristol, VA – Irene Walls DeBoard, age 92, passed on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. Irene was raised and lived in Damascus for many years before moving to Bristol, VA in the 1960’s. She was of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith.
Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Major and Clero Henderson Walls, and sister, Antha Osborne.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Pennington of Marion, VA; two sons, Harley Roop and wife Doris of Bristol, VA and Stewart Alvin DeBoard and wife Crystal of Raymore, MO; three step-sons, William DeBoard and wife Donna of Bristol, VA, Preston DeBoard of Bristol, VA, and James DeBoard of Bristol, VA; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Nelson Eichelberger officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to convene at the cemetery before 2:00 p.m.
