Iris Gobble Henley, 68, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 in Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Gobble; her husband, Walter Henley; and brothers, Jack and Delmar Henley.
Survivors are her mother, Rebecca Gobble; children, Terry Fields of Bristol, VA and Craig Henley of Rural Retreat, VA; her grandchildren, David Robinette, Johnathan Pruitt, Amanda Fields, Nathaniel Henley, Judianne Morissey, Charla Appleba, and Christa Mosley; several great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Carrier, Tiny Willis and Norma Thomas and brothers, Jimmy Gobble and Wendy Gobble.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery, Route 75, Abingdon with Pastor RuthAnne Henley officiating. The procession to the graveside will immediately follow visitation, which will be from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Farris Funeral Service.
