James Cecil Norris, 82, passed away April 12, 2012 at his home. Mr. Norris Retired from the United States Military after serving over 23 years in the Army and Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Jack and Blanche Morgan Norris, son, Johnny Carl Norris and brother, Red Norris.
He is survived by two sons, David Norris and Jake (Connie) Norris; one daughter, Kimberly Dawn Norris; brother, Gene Norris; three sisters, Pansy Smith, Renie (Charlie Bob) Church and Daisy Hawthorne; and two grandchildren, Adam Norris and Sandy Hatley.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor Tim Norris officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Virginia National Guard and Highlands Honor Guard.
