James Kenneth Wilson

James Kenneth Wilson, 76, passed away on Saturday, July 2,2022 at the Smyth County Hospital in Marion, VA.
James was born in Lebanon, VA to the late William and Creedy Cox Wilson.
Mr. Wilson spent his early career wiring trailers for Black Diamond in Bristol, VA. He enjoyed farming and was a Jack-of-all-trades prior to becoming disabled after a massive heart attack at 38 years of age.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Wilson of Hiltons, VA; two daughters, Patricia Gill and husband Randall Gill of Greenville, SC Amy Reynolds and Husband Wayne Reynolds of Hiltons, VA, four grandsons, Eric Gill of Greenville, SC, Emmanuel Reynolds and wife Elizabeth of Hiltons, VA, McKinnley Reynolds of Hiltons, VA, Greyson Reynolds of Hiltons, VA; a granddaughter, Hanna Gill of Greenville, SC; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Kenneth Wilson Jr.; an infant daughter, Billie Jo Wilson; four sisters, Dale Taylor, Virginia Spencer, Dove McGlothlin, Geneva Canter; a brother, William “Bud” Wilson; a grandson, Christian Reynolds.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Forest Hills Funeral Chapel located at 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210. The Funeral Service will begin following the visitation at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mark Hill and Brother David Scott officiating. A Graveside service and entombment will follow in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
