James "Jim" Millard Barr, 67 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Fannie Barr and six brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Gail Barr; two sons, Derrick Barr and wife, Brittney of Green Cove, VA and Jonathan Barr and wife, Jessica of Marion, VA; two daughters, Pam Castrello and husband, Ralph of Marion, VA and Michelle Widener and husband, Kirby of Green Cove, VA; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Blevins and husband, John and Gaye Graham and husband, Mack; one brother, Scott Barr and wife, Sugar; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Green Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Barr, Bruce Barr, Richard Barr, Tracy Proffitt, Warren Walls and Chris Cullop.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Green Cove Baptist Church .
