Janie Rose Zinkhan, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Tampa, FL. She was a native of Bristol, TN; however, she had made Florida her home since 1965. Janie was a registered nurse and had worked at University Community Hospital in Tampa. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. During her leisure time, Janie loved to ride her bicycle. In fact, she once rode her bike about 90 miles to visit her sister. She had a soft spot for feral cats and fed those in her neighborhood.
Janie was predeceased by her parents Arthur Oscar and Mabel Comer. She is survived by her daughter Mitzi Hayes (Leon); sons Russell Zinkhan (Vickie) and Scott Zinkhan; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in the Cold Spring Cemetery; 280 Cold Spring Church Road; Bristol, TN with Pastor Doug LaPointe officiating. Casket bearers will be Russell Zinkhan, Scott Zinkhan, Michael Abraham, Jeremy Abraham, Leon Hayes and Brittany Zinkhan. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at least 15 minutes prior to the service.
