Bristol, VA – Jason Nathaniel Gilmer, age 42, passed on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Jason was a 1997 graduate of John Battle High School and was a very accomplished welder. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, playing guitar, fishing, hunting, being in Nature. Jason took much pride in being a simple man.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Billy Russell Gilmer and Betty Frazier Gilmer; maternal grandmother, Clariece “Totty” Kennedy Collins; and uncle, Randall Wayne Gilmer.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Zoie Gilmer and fiancée C.T. Riquelme of North Port, FL; parents, Darryll and Teresa Collins Gilmer of Bristol, VA; paternal grandparents, Tanner and Margaret Collins of Abingdon, VA; aunts and uncles, Rhonda Gilmer Puckett and husband Charles “Peppy” of Bristol, VA, Richard Gilmer of Bristol, VA, Lois Klahn Gilmer of Knoxville, TN, and Terry Collins Mullins of Abingdon, VA; significant other, Amber Bergman; two special cousins, Tasha Fleenor and Tiffany McCracken; and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at The Venue, 15483, Bristol, VA.
