Jeremy DeWayne Farris, age 46, of Cedar Bluff, VA, past away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Jeremy was born in Bristol, TN and lived most of his life in Grundy and Bristol. He was a 1991 graduate of Grundy Senior High School and a three sport letterman and started as quarterback for three years. He had worked as a manager for Wal-Mart Tire and Lube and he had been employed with Tazewell Mine Tire. Jeremy attended Harmon Memorial Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers, sports, and most of all the Dallas Cowboys.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his step-father, Pete Stevenson; sister, Charity Farris; father, Eddie DeWayne Farris; grandparents, Theodore and Alava Looney and Bill and Pauline Farris. Jeremy is survived by his mother, Sue Farris Stevenson of Cedar Bluff; daughters, Alexia Brooke Farris of Abingdon, Rhianna Grace Farris of Abingdon, and Alexandria Brynn Webb of Grundy; brother, Chance Farris and Heather Williamson Farris of Bristol; nephews, Conner and Corey Farris of Bristol, and Devin Stiltner of Richmond, VA; he is also survived by life long friends, Travis Rife of Bristol, Cynthia Dales Elswick of Grundy, and Christy Pauley of Abingdon.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 pm Sunday, June 23, 2019 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Shea Shrader officiating.
