Jerry Arnold, age 79, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at his home.
Jerry was a loving father, son, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. After his retirement from Bristol Compressors, Jerry could not sit still and continued working in his twilight years for Enterprise of Abingdon. Jerry traveled extensively with his wife Della for many years taking all of their grandchildren to Florida at least one time to make magical memories at Disney World. He loved to play golf and was a magnificent bowler in his early years.
Jerry was well respected and liked by all and is preceded in death by his mother, Garnett Arnold; wife, Della Arnold and brother, Denzil Arnold.
He is survived by four children, Debra Kiser of Bluff City, TN, Michael Arnold and wife Linda of Abingdon, VA, Kimberly Hurd and husband Mack of Bristol, VA, and Angela Arnold of Abingdon, VA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and special friend, Bill Hayworth.
