Mr. Jessie James Sproles, 74, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Valley Health Care. He was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Sanford, Sally Alexander, and Colleen Price, and his brother Herman Sproles.
He is survived by two sons, Festus "Bud" Sproles and wife Connie of Glade Spring, and Henry Sproles and his significant other Charlotte Carpenter of Owensboro, KY; two brothers, Oscar Sproles of Bristol, VA, and Ernie Sproles of Crouse, NC; three sisters, Lena Van Huss and Gay Nell Sproles, both of Meadowview, and Ruby Walsh of Bristol, VA; two grandchildren: Jonathan Sproles of Glade Spring and Nicole Sproles of Murray, KY; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family of Mr. Sproles will receive friends at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Sproles and his family are in the care of Farris Funeral Service - Forest Hills Chapel and Crematory, 19415 Lee Highway , Abingdon , VA 24210 (276-623-2727).
