John Wesley Moody, 69, of Meadowview passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
He was born to the late William and Eva Moody. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and lived in Washington County all of his life. He retired from Dutt and Wagner after 40 years of service. He is preceded in death by a sisters, Alberta Moody; and a brother, Alan Moody.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Taylor, of Bristol, VA; two sons, Aaron Moody of Meadowview, VA and Thomas Moody of gate City, VA; and two nephews, Jonathan and Jeremy Wolfe of St. Paul, VA; and the mother of his children, Mary Phillips.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 30, 3011 at 7:00 PM at Farris Cremation and Funeral Center, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA with Robby Coggins, Pastor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Farris Cremation and Funeral Center. Military honors will be rendered by the Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard Honor Guard.
