Juanita Sue McClanahan Rowe, 84, passed away on Monday, June 26,2022 in Bristol, VA.
Mrs. Rowe was born on October 12, 1937 in Buchanan County, VA to the late Ira and Florence Sparks McClanahan.
She was a member of East Bristol Church of Christ. Juanita Was a retiree of United Telephone System for 23 years. She served on the board of directors of the United S.E. Federal Credit Union, was a Speakers Bureau member and served on the United Way of Bristol program. She loved to care for and serve people.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Smith and husband Nathan of Bristol, VA, Patricia L. Harless of Bristol, VA; a sister, Phyllis and Ed Wampler of RockHill, SC; two grandchildren, Sara and Zachary Harless of Kent, Washington; a special “granddog” named “Chip.”
She was preceded in death by husband, James H. Rowe, one sister, Anna Ruth Church, four brothers, G.K. McClanahan, Virgil McClanahan, H.M. McClanahan, Roger McClanahan
Juanita desired to be cremated. Her remains will be privately laid to rest beside her husband at the Veterans Cemetery at Mountain Home TN.
