Justin Robert Bundy, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Justin was a 1998 graduate of Abingdon High School as well as a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Penn. After graduating with honors from Drexel University, he lived in Philadelphia, Penn. and Chicago, Ill. where he worked in marketing and advertising for several years.
Missing the mountains, Justin returned to Abingdon where he worked for the family construction business alongside his father and best buddy. Justin loved being with his family and spending time with friends from coast to coast.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Jack and Mary Ruth Bundy, and Homer and Vivian Gentry.
Justin is survived by his parents, Robert M “Bob” and Mary Gentry Bundy of Abingdon, Va.; brother, Joseph Bundy and wife Kimberly Bundy of Weaverville, N.C.; special niece, Harper Bundy, and special nephew, Neyland Bundy; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends; and loyal companion, his cat Merle.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA, with Rev. Jon Martin officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, www.humanesociety.org/donate, in Justin’s name.
