Kaitlynn Elizabeth Ray

Meadowview, VA – Kaitlynn Elizabeth Ray, infant daughter of Charles and Tasha McCracken Ray, went to be with the Lord shortly after birth on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents Dorothy and Lewis Snead, Mary and Silas McCracken, and Henry Ray; uncle Perry Hess; and cousin Makayela Gomez. In addition to her parents, she is survived by grandparents Brenda McCracken of Abingdon, VA, and Charlie and Elizabeth Hess of Meadowview, VA; great-grandmother, Nora Ray of Emory, VA; aunts, Kelly Olinger of Abingdon, VA, and Ashley (David) Scyphers of Atlanta, GA; uncle, Silas Edward McCracken, III; and cousins, Silas McCracken, Evan Alvarez, Alaninna Scyphers, and Alex Surgeon. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2014, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. James Walls officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Ray and Danny Hutchins. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00-10:45 just prior to the service at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210.
