Katherine Lee Sasey, age 52, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Danny St. John, Sr. and Frances Hahn St. John.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Tom Sasey; one son, Robert Hahn of Abingdon, VA; one step-son, Alan Blevins of Roanoke, VA; two brothers, Kenny St. John and wife Beth of Meadowview, VA and Danny St. John, Jr. and wife Gina; two sisters, Melissa "Sis" Edwards of Bristol, VA and Frances St. John of Bristol, VA; two grandchildren, Robbie "Bubba" Hahn and Kennedy "Sissy" Hahn; special aunt, Mack Holmes; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor David Robins officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Friends are also welcome to visit with the family at their home. Pallbearers will be J.J. Jordan, Jason Hahn, Jeremy Phillippi, Bob Anders, James "Jim Bo" Terry, Ronnie Terry, Roger Cruey, and Curtis Cruey. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Hahn, Brad "Elsie" Hahn, Alan Blevins, Robbie "Bubba" Hahn, Blaine Thomas, Seth St. John, Terry Underwood, and Jake Underwood.
