Kathie Marie Walker Walton

Dateline: Abingdon, VA- Kathie Marie Walker Walton, age 68, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was the third of four children born to the late Elmer Butch Walker and Virginia Blair Walker on June 11, 1947 in Monroe, MI. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 49 years, Charles Wesley “Chuck” Walton, and knew the Lord as her Savior. In addition to her husband, Kathie is also survived by two brothers, Don Walker and wife Jan of Bristol, TN and Danny Walker and wife Valerie of Buckeye, AZ; sister, Shirley Jean Baumgardner and husband Thomas of Bristol, VA; several nieces and nephews; two special great nieces, Summer Arnold of Bristol, VA and Chelsey Arnold Dotson of Morristown, TN; two special great-great nieces, Lindsey McReynolds and Jaedyn Dotson; and special great-great nephew, Dru Dotson. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Fred Dotson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
