Kathleen Noonkester Cumbow, 94, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2010 in Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late John Michael and Nancy Jackson Noonkester. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Bristol, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Cumbow; a son, Glenn M. Cumbow; a grandson, Mark Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Jo Robertson; sister, Mary Lee Gore and brother, Bryan "Jack" Noonkester.
Survivors are daughters, Shirley Mitchell, Jo Ann Canter and Frances Evelyn Goodson; son, C.W. Cumbow; daughter-in-law, Leigh Cumbow; granddaughters, Rachel Goodson, Sandy Robertson, Kim Barnett, Linda Smith and Amy Cumbow; grandsons, Andy Cumbow, Chuck Cumbow, Dennis Cumbow, Earl Goodson and Teddy Goodson; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Virgil Noonkester; nieces are special niece, Carol Noonkester, Dot Remine, Madeline Hughes, Elaine Gobble and Carmen Nunley; nephews, W.B. Noonkester, William Gore, Mike Noonkester, Ronnie Noonkester, J.W. Cumbow, Ronald Cumbow and Jack Phelps, Sr.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon with Pastor Dexter Terry officiating. The family will meet at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. Monday.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Midway Baptist Church Youth Program.
