Kathy Hurley Bailey

Kathy Hurley Bailey, age 67, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, November 13, 2015, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Kathy retired after many years of employment from Shoney’s in Abingdon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Worth Hurley and Bessie Kate Hawthorne Hurley; three sisters, Mary Spriggs, Nora Lee Bailey, and Linda Pope; two infant brothers; and her sweet heart, Luther Worley. She is survived by her children, Johnny “J.L.” Bailey and wife Lisa of Abingdon, VA and Darlene Graham and husband Steve of Bristol, TN; three grandchildren, Justin Graham, Kayla Bailey, and Megan Bailey; several nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 7 p .m. with Pastor David Robins and Pastor Mark Vestal officiating. A committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Curtis Spriggs, Justin Graham, Darrell Breeding, Wes Boardwine, Mark Hyatt, Dale Worley, and Brandon Pope serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Spriggs, Ray Amburn, and Bob Pope. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to convene at the funeral home before 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.
