Larry Willard Foran

Larry Willard Foran, 64, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at his home with his loving family at his side.
Larry was born January 24, 1947 in Washington Co., VA to the late Clarence and Bessie Goodson Foran. He owned Larry's Muffler in Bristol for 12 years and had worked as a car mechanic for a total of 40 years. Larry was a great husband, father and papaw, he will always be loved and missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Karen Degon Foran; one daughter, Shannon Foran; one grandson, Christian Foran; and two special people he helped raise, Jon Degon and Kathy Daniel; one brother, Jerry Foran; one sister, Adena Woodward; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, August 12, 2011 at 1pm at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Brother Calvin Gobble officiating. Pallbearers will be Jon Degon, Tony Norman, Dean Foran, Eric Draper, Jamie Sullins, David Daniel, Jr., and David Daniel, Sr. The funeral procession to Forest Hills Memory Gardens will depart from Farris Funeral Service at 12:30 pm Friday.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Farris Funeral Service.
