Mrs. Leona Kestner Sandoe, 92 passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in the Cambridge House, Bristol, TN.
She was a native of Russell County, VA but had lived in Washington County, VA most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Luther Kestner and Mary Ann Russell McFadden Kestner. She is the widow of Roy Sandoe and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Sandoe.
She was a member of the Abingdon First Assembly of God.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Roy and Angie Sandoe, Abingdon, VA, a brother, Jim Kestner, Abingdon, VA, two sisters, Mrs. H. C. (Viola) Williams, Bristol, TN, Mrs. John (Marie) Little, KY, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, located on the grounds of Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA with Pastor Roger Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, James Sandoe, Matthew Sandoe, Jimmy Kestner,
Roger Kestner, Toby Kestner, Ray Sullins, Freddie Hayter.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
