Leona Lulla Hinchey Williams

Abingdon, VA – Leona Lulla Hinchey Williams, age 95, passed on Sunday, November 5, 2017, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. She attended Damascus Road Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Challie A. Hinchey and Eunice Walker Hinchey; husband, Reuben R. Williams; and several siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Shelby Harpine of Hudson, FL and Ruby Hurt of Abingdon, VA; sister, Katherine Williams of Abingdon, VA; grandchildren, Cindy Volante, Regina Shinall, Vickie Fields, and Toni Horn; great grandchildren, Amber Carbary, Blake Carbary, Brittany Worley, Christopher Vannoy, Cory Grubb, and Rachel Volante; and great-great grandchildren, Keelee and Kenzlee Sykes.

Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. and Pastor Leonard Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Bud Shinall, Blake Carbary, Tim Bordwine, Christopher Vannoy, Johnny Williams, and Mike Sykes serving as pallbearers. Kenneth Williams will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
