Lillie Ida Condie Clay

Lillie Ida Condie Clay, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bristol Ward. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, painting, and researching family history.
She was born on September 5, 1932 to the late Marion Asher Condie and Lillie Alice Ivie Condie in Carey, ID. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, William Keith Clay; son, David Keith Clay; brother, Marion Asher Condie; and sister, Cecelia Wilson.
She is survived by three sons, William Dennis Clay and wife Cheryl, Jonathan Jared Clay and wife Shea all of Abingdon, VA, and Stephen Andrew Clay and wife Stephanie of Maple Valley, WA; seven daughters, Lillie Clay Larsen and husband Bart of O Fallon, MO, Teresa Ann Tyhurst and husband Charles, Caroline Clay Hood and husband Terry, and Rebecca Cooper and husband Todd all of Abingdon, VA, Mindi Deane Hawkins and husband Todd of Overland Park, KS, Robin Kristine Phillipps and husband Craig of Sandy, UT, and Rachel Clay-Keohane and husband Michael of the home; daughter-in-law, Donna Jean Clay of Glade Spring, VA; brother, James Condie and wife Jeri of Dumfries, VA; three sisters, Ivie Babbel of Manti, UT, Brookie Swallow of Panaca, NV, and Adelia Rile of Riverton, CA; brother-in-law, Wayne Wilson of South Jordan, UT; 49 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bristol Ward, 13 Heritage Drive, Bristol, VA 24201. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
