Lillie Lucille "Lou" Nunley

Abingdon, VA Lillie Lucille “Lou” Nunley, age 81, passed on Monday, January 5, 2015, at Grace Health Care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Nunley and Willie McFadden Nunley; step-mother, Bessie Kestner Nunley; brothers, John Henry, Ernest, and Howard Nunley; sisters, Frances Duncan, Ida Puckett, and Ruth Lamie; and nephews, Ronald Duncan, Sherman Lamie, and Lenny Nunley. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Nunley of Bristol, VA; nephews and nieces, Ernest Nunley of Abingdon, VA; Peggy, Tim, and Rick Nunley, all of South Carolina; Doug Puckett of Bristol, VA; Chuck Puckett of Richmond, VA; and Pat Johnson of North Carolina; several great- and great-great nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Ronna Blevins of Marion, VA. Visitation will be held 12-1:30 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. View Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain States Hospice in Ms. Nunley’s name.
