Lori Ann Maggart

Lori Ann Maggart, age 59, passed away at her home on Monday, December 3, 2018.  Lori was a native of Hawthorne, Calif., and moved to Abingdon 20 years ago with her husband, Jere.  She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. There, she taught First Holy Communion Classes to the youth. Lori also worked for a number of years at Ecumenical Faith in Action, helping clients in need get medications directly from pharmaceutical companies. Lori always loved the view of the world while riding with Jere on their motorcycle.  Lori was predeceased by her parents, Alex Lancaster and Ann Fratto Lancaster.

She is survived by her husband, Jere; daughter, and loving caregiver, Kristin, both of the home; brother, Patrick Lancaster and wife, Kay, of Illinois; and aunt, Rosalie Fratto of Abingdon.

 The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. December 6, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church; 820 E. Main Street; Abingdon, VA 24210.  A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ecumenical Faith in Action; 798 Hillman Highway; Abingdon, VA 24210.
