Lorraine Faye Sutherland Stanley

Bristol, TN – Lorraine Faye Sutherland Stanley, age 88, passed on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Lorraine grew up in Clintwood, VA and moved to Manassas, VA in 1963 with her husband. They returned to South West Virginia in 1983 where she has resided since.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Snoda Silcox Sutherland; husband, Jimmie Stanley; son, Gregory Stanley; great grandson, Robert Larry Stanley, III; and four siblings. She is survived by her two sons, Rodney Stanley of Bristol, TN and Larry Stanley and wife Lisa of Manassas, VA; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Crypt side services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, https://afsp.org/take-action/give-a-gift/, in Mrs. Stanley’s name.
