Mabel Harris Tuell

Glade Spring, VA -  Mabel Virginia Harris Tuell, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2018 at English Meadows Senior Living Community.

She was a native of Smyth County, VA, and had worked for over 25 years at Olin Mathieson Corp., and Berry Home Center in Chilhowie, VA.  Mabel was a member of Glade Spring Presbyterian Church at Old Glade, and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles “Tish” Harris and Helen Patrick Harris, and her husband Alfred “Al” Tuell.

  Mabel is survived by her cousins Nelda Holmes and Ella Mae Harris, brother-in-law Paul Tuell and wife Betty Jo; several cousins, nieces, and nephews, special friends and caregivers Charles Byrd and Mattie Gray Henegar, who was her special travel companion.

  The family will receive friends at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  A graveside funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Glade Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Bird officiating.
