Maloy Harrison, 90, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at his home.
He was born in Clinchco, Virginia and was a son of the late Ned and Eliza Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and one twin sister. He was a member of Jackson Memorial Church in Bristol, VA.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Opal Harrison; one son Dean Harrison and wife, Debra of Abingdon; daughter, Barbara Price and husband, Marvin of Bristol, VA; four grandchildren, Heather Buchanan and husband, Nathan, Hunter Harrison and fiancée, Traci Leonard, Melissa Harrington and husband, Brian, and Dianna Leonard and husband, Ernie; four great grandchildren, Tanner Harrington, Jessica, Brandi and Mark Leonard and several nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Home Nursing Services of Southwest Virginia, the staff of Hospice of Southwest Virginia and to Dr. James Gardner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 17, 2010 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Rev. Jason Hand and Rev. Gary Harless officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Teddy Sauls, Kenny Sauls, Travis Sauls, Con Sauls, Vayard Harrison and Randy Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M Friday at Farris Funeral Service.
