Margaret Lee Jackson

Margaret Lee Jackson, age 80, of Abingdon, Va., passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Margaret was a native of Chatham Hill, Va.; however, she had spent many years in Massachusetts. She was of the Methodist faith. During her working years, Margaret was employed as a store manager for the Tedeschi Food Shops for 25 years. Margaret always fondly remembered the time that she spent with her children at the beaches of Cape Cod. She also enjoyed time with friends at the Foxwoods Casino. “Dedicated” is the one word description of Margaret.  She was loving to her family, loyal to her employer, and embraced humor each day.   

She was predeceased by her parents, Marvin Deward, Sr. and Gladys Mabel Wagner Clear, and brother, Marvin Deward Clear, Jr. Margaret is survived by her children, Steven B. Jackson of Lanesborough, Mass. and Deborah F. D’Onofrio of North Andover, Mass.; grandchildren, Hunter A. Jackson, Casey M. Jackson, and Nikolas L. D’Onofrio; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Happy Tails Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 95, Abingdon, Va 24212, or to Carrie A. Seamon Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1374, Provincetown, MA 02657.
