Margorie J. "Margie" Robinett

Abingdon, Va.

Margorie “Margie” Jeraline Meadows Robinett, age 86, passed on Friday, August 16, 2019, at her home.  Margie was born on October 4, 1932 to the late Loran and Vicie Griffith Meadows in Red Ash, Va. She lived in Raven, Va. for many years before moving to Abingdon where she resided for over 45 years and was a member of Mt. View United Methodist Church.  

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Bradley Robinett; son, Michael Loran Robinett; daughter, Brenda Mae Howell; brothers, Chester, Vernie, Eugene, Roy, and Elmer Meadows; sisters, Frances, Ola Gay, and Arvilla; and great-grandson, Grayson Howell. 

She is survived by her son, Glen Bradley Robinett and wife Dreama Schwiengruber; daughter, Betty Louise Boyd; sisters, Thelma (Grover) Yates, Shirley (Fred) Meister, Geneva (Randy) Osborne, Anne Dye, and Freel Howell; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2019, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Funeral services will be conduted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Thayer officiating.  Entombment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoeluem 1, Claypool Hill, VA, at 2:00 p.m. with grandsons serving as pallbearers.  There will be no procession to the cemetery.
