Mark Dale Weddle, 43, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Mark was a 1986 graduate of John S. Battle High School. Mark graduated from The University of Virginia with a Bachelors degree in English and taught school in Atlanta, GA. Mark was employed at Office Max in Bristol for the past 13 years. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Bristol and of the Appalachian Highlanders Band.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Weddle.
Survivors include, his mother, Anna Warner Weddle; one sister, Missy Baldwin and husband, Roger of Honaker; one niece and nephew, Kari and Travis Vandyke.
The funeral service for Mark Weddle will be held at 8:00 pm Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Dr. Austin Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until the time of the service or anytime at the home of Anna Weddle, 16686 Old Jonesboro Rd, Bristol VA 24202. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 246, Abingdon, VA 24212.
