Martha Ann Singleton Williams, age 62, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at her home. Martha attended Woodland Baptist Church and the "Open the Eyes of My Heart" Bible Study at Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams was born and raised in Abingdon, VA and lived numerous places throughout her life including living 20 years in Knoxville, TN. She is preceded in death by her father, Garland Earnest Singleton.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Williams; daughters, Jennifer Sanslow of Knoxville, TN and Stephanie (Matt) Osborn of Knoxville, TN; son, Steven (Stacy) Williams of Knoxville, TN; mother, Annette Mullen Singleton of Abingdon, VA; brothers, David Thomas (Connie) Singleton of Abingdon, VA and Jimmy Ernest (Kathy) Singleton of Blountville, TN; sisters, Cathy Singleton ( Rob) Nacrelli of Elkton, MD, Debbie Singleton (Jeff) Foster of Knoxville, TN, and Betty Singleton (Charlie) Moye of Saraland, AL; and grandchildren, Garrett, Rileigh, Grady, Ryan, and Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Bro. Bob McCormick and Bro. Calvin Gobble officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. just prior to the service on Saturday.
A graveside committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Rust Hollow Cemetery with Shawn Singleton, Brian Singleton, Travis Singleton, Alex Singleton, John Singleton, Kenny Singleton, Gary Singleton, Bryan Laseter, and Richard Goodson serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the committal are asked to convene at the cemetery by 2:00 p.m.
