Glade Spring, VA – Mary Agnes Widener, age 86, passed on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Mary was employed by several area textile factories in the area for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lillie Forrester Widener; husband, Norven Preston Widener; brothers, Herbert, James, and Charles Widener; and sisters, Beatrice Montgomery, Opal Thomas, Roena Wolfe, Laura Gentry, and Charlotte Roberts.
Mary is survived by her son, Gregory Widener of Glade Spring, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2020, in Widener’s Valley Cemetery with Pastor Vann Seal officiating. COVID-19 guidelines are to be observed.
