Mary Ann Hale Deel

Mary Ann Hale Deel, age 58, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She was born in Grundy, Virginia, had lived in Vansant, Virginia, and was a 1972 graduate of Grundy Senior High School. Mary Ann lived in Bristol, Tennessee for many years before moving to Bristol, Virginia in 2004. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter who asked only to be with her family as much as possible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie W. Hale and Lillian V. Hale of Vansant. Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of thirty-nine years, Bruce W. Deel; two daughters: Lea Ann Wilson and husband Jonathan, and Tiffany Suzanne Salley and husband Jonathan; three brothers: Jackie Lee Hale, Jerry Ed Hale, and Joey Fred Hale and wife Peggy; one niece and two nephews.

The funeral service for Mary Ann Deel will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Elder Jackie Church officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The committal service and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to meet at the cemetery on Sunday by 1:50 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Journey's End No Kill Animal Society, PO Box 6430, Kingsport, TN 37663, or to Happy Tails Animal Rescue, Attention: Kay Stewart, 21085 Diamond Drive, Damascus, VA 24236.
