Mary Sue Davidson Bare, age 89, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home.
She was born in Saltville, VA a daughter of the late Thomas Aker Davidson and Mintie Clear Davidson. Mrs. Bare was a graduate of William King High School Class of 1942.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, E.L. "Beanie" Bare; two brothers, George R. Davidson and Thomas E. Davidson "Boone"; five sisters, Pauline Henderson, Agnes Hager, Geneva Riddle, Esther Davidson, and Christine Davidson.
She is survived by five children, Jane Williams and husband Robert of Meadowview, VA, David Bare of Emory, VA, Kenneth "Bo" Bare and wife Libby of Glade Spring, VA, Tim Bare and wife Becky of Abingdon, VA, and Robin Bare and wife Benita of Emory, VA; five grandchildren, Kendra Cline, Ben Bare, Courtney Miller, Kari Bare, and Caitlin Bare; sister-in-law, Helen Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday at the Forest Hills Chapel with Pastor Chad Johnson officiating. A committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 23rd at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Derek Cline, Josh Miller, Curtis Riddle, Tom Riddle, Steve Vankovich, and Steven Vankovich will serve as pallbearers. Ben Bare and Jackson Nettles will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Friends are welcome to call at the Bare home prior to services on Monday.
