Michael Ellison, 54, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012. Michael was a 1975 Graduate of Patrick Henry High School and was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nanner Maines Ellison and brother, Bill Ellison.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Ellison; two step-sons, Chad and Tommy Sexton; three brothers, R.L. (Janice) Potter, Jack (Jenny) Ellison, and Ricky Ellison; seven sisters, Ruby (Alan) Cahill, Jewel (Ernest) Havens, Bonnie (George) Davis, Mildred (David) Tadlock, Rachel (Walter) Cook, Tammy Ellison and Joan (Ervin) Blevins; six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Glade Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Cook, Scottie Cook, Daniel Blevins, Jahue Blevins, Donavon Hanes and Tommy Sexton.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:30-11:30 A.M. Friday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:30 A.M.
The family will also receive friends at anytime at the home of Scottie Cook, 816 Azalea Drive, Glade Spring, VA 24340. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register.
