Mildred Mae Jones Presley, age 76, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born to the late Dave Jones and Mary Frances Murray Jones on May 16, 1937. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Jones.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Benny C. Presley; four sons, Eddie Thomas, Jr. and wife Teresa of Glade Spring, VA, Michael Hearl and wife Donna, Reverend Roger Hearl, and Jimmy Hearl all of Abingdon, VA; two daughters, Libby Alexander and husband Tommy and Crystal Thomas all of Abingdon, VA; four brothers, Bill Jones and wife Kat of MD, Freddie Jones and wife Diane of Glade Spring, VA, Butch Jones and wife Peggy, and Johnny Jones all of Abingdon, VA; three sisters, Vivian Norris and husband John of NC, Betty Ann King and husband Eugene, and a very special sister, Sissy Smith and husband Ricky all of Abingdon, VA; granddaughter, Brittany Alexander of Abingdon, VA; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friends, Tammy Haga and Ronnie Mink.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Forest Hills Chapel with Reverend Adam Wise officiating. A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2013 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Tommy Alexander, B.J. Hess, Johnny Jones, Jimmy McCray, Mark Thomas, and Jason Wise will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Dykes, Ronnie Mink, and Ricky Smith.
