Minnie B. Arnold McCready

Minnie B. Arnold McCready, 84, preceded in death by her husband, James S. McCready, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010.
Born July 21, 1925, Mrs. McCready had spent most of her life in Saltville, Virginia. She was a blessed homemaker and mother who took great pride in her home and family. She was a member of Main St. Christian Church in Saltville and had attended Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church in Bristol, VA.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd B. and Betty J. Arnold; four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors are a daughter, Sue M. Duncan and husband, Bill of Bristol, VA; three sons, James "Sandy" McCready of Bristol, TN, Ron McCready and wife, Nita of Bristol, TN and Ralph McCready and wife, Faye of Abingdon, VA; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a special friend, Shirley Rivera; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
The family would also like to extend a special thanks to blessed caregivers Lucille Fletcher, Sharon Ramsey and Val Taylor. Also, thanks to the staff of NHC Healthcare in Bristol for their loving care.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 7 pm at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon with Rich Panell officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the Forest Hills Chapel from 5:00 P.M. until 6:45 P.M. Monday.
The committal service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron McCready, Jr., Jamie McCready, Sam McCready, Dan Crowe, Bill Mullins and Robert Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steels Road, Bristol, TN 37620 or to the Alzheimers Association, 207 N. Boone St., Suite 1050, Johnson City, TN 37604.
