Monnie Oma Reynolds Poole, 76, entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mozell Nunley Reynolds; and beloved husband, Ray Poole, Jr.
She is survived by three daughters, Kim Mann and husband Jim, Donna Cutshall and husband Junior, and Sherry Adams and fiancée Timmy Gentry, all of Abingdon, Va.; son, Johnny Poole and wife Nancy of Bristol, Va.; brother, Carl Reynolds and wife Nancy of Abingdon, Va.; stepson, Roger Poole and wife Sue of Springfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Lesa Centers Welch and Gladys Reynolds.
Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. At Mrs. Poole’s request, there will be no service.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Emory Robinette, Dr. Ahmad Hammad, the Johnston Memorial Hospital Regional Cancer Center, Home Nursing Service of Southwest VA, and Wellmont Hospice for the excellent care and kindness shown to Monnie and her family during her illness. Visitors can call on the family at anytime at the home of Donna and Junior Cutshall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018, or the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in Mrs. Poole’s name. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3
