Naomi O. Crosswhite, 92, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011 in Bristol Nursing Home.

She was born February 14, 1919 in Russell County, VA but had spent most of her life in Abingdon, VA where she had worked and retired from Abingdon Laundry and Cleaners. Mrs. Crosswhite was a member of Damascus Road Baptist Church. She was a wonderful and loving mother who put the needs of others above her own.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Crosswhite; a sister, Joanne Eden and a half brother, Villard Lell.

Survivors are her sons, Raymond Crosswhite, Jr. and wife, Kim of Stark, FL, Jesse Crosswhite and wife, Lennis of Bristol, VA, Robert Crosswhite and wife, Loma, Harold Crosswhite and wife, Jeanie, Kelly Crosswhite and wife, Darlene and Kenneth Crosswhite all of Abingdon; daughters, Linda Tate and husband, Lewis "Con" and Brenda Fields and husband, Roger "Buzz" both of Abingdon; half brother, Jack Lell of Rock Springs, Wyoming; half sister, Janet Gafke of Littleton, AZ; twenty five grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Grace Moody of Bristol Nursing Home.

The family would also like to extend thanks to the staff at Bristol Nursing Home for all their care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. Monday, February 28 2011 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. Monday.

Committal services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Joey Tate, Joshua Fullen, Rodney Sweet, Russell Stevens, Harold Gene Crosswhite and Jason Owens. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to assemble at Farris Funeral Service by 10:30 A.M. Tuesday.
