Nellie Ann Hearl Murray

Abingdon, Va.   

Mrs. Nellie Ann Hearl Murray, 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Nellie was born February 18, 1935 in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late Charlie D. Hearl and the late Thelma Rutledge Hearl. She had lived most of her life in Washington County, Va. and was retired from Ratheon. Nellie was a member of Berry Creek Baptist Church and a life member of Abingdon V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Murray, and one sister, Freda Morsberger.

Nellie is survived by her son, Clarence David Murray of Abingdon; daughter, Deborah Jean Blevins and husband Joel of Abingdon; two brothers, Charles David Hearl, Jr. of Lynchburg and Carl Franklin Hearl of Bristol; and one sister, Lillian Burke of Fisherville, Va.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. 

The funeral service will be conducted Friday, September 28, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Rick Cuddy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of service. The committal service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday September 29, 2018 in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1: 50 p.m.
