Nellie Willis Taylor

Mrs. Nellie Willis Taylor, age 75, passed away at her home on Thursday December 12, 2013. Mrs. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Washington County, VA and was of the Christian Faith. Her love of children and country music drew people to her. In addition to her own children, she helped raise many others and she never lost her love for them.

Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her husband James O.D. Taylor and her companion Robert Arnold. She is survived by sons Timothy V. Taylor of Bristol, VA and James A. Taylor of Virginia; brother Dewey Hall of Washington County, VA; sisters Frances "Dinky" Blevins of Washington County, VA and Ruby Bott of Bristol, VA; grandchildren Timothy O.D. Taylor, James Travis Taylor and Michael Taylor; 7 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Princess also survive.

A funeral service for Mrs. Nellie Willis Taylor will be held on Saturday December 14, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Farris Funeral Service Chapel, conducted by Pastor Ken Osborne. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm 7:00 pm prior to the funeral service.

A committal service and interment will be held on Sunday December 15, 2013 at2:00 pm in Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Ronnie Hall, Danny Hall, Billy Hall, David Hall, Eddie Hall, Dewey Hall, Johnny Hall, Mike Blevins and Robert Blevins will serve as casket bearers. Friends wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 pm.
