Norma Jean Sisk Thomas

Norma Jean Sisk Thomas, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in Plainfield, Ind. Everyone whose life she touched was blessed beyond measure to know her. Lots of laughter and many wonderful moments were shared around Norma's kitchen table, where everyone was always welcome, and family was dearly cherished. 

She was born to the late Alden Sisk and Mary Nell Sisk, September 22, 1939. After graduating from Garden High in 1957, she married the love of her life, Ernest Gerald Thomas, before moving to the Blountville, Tenn. area. 

She is survived by three children:  Karen and husband, Terry, of Grundy, Va.; Cleve and wife, Karen, of Crawfordville, Fla.; and Angie and husband, Nigel, of Plainfield Ind.; seven grandchildren, Nick (Heather), Jessie (Pepper), Kendall (Justin), Adam (Natalie), Kevin (Pearl), Amy (James), Laurie Jo (Lance); and twelve great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at 12:00 P.M., at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy., Abingdon, Va. 24210, with Minister Bill Haywood officiating. Parker Hutchinson, Nick Hutchinson, Adam Nelson, Pepper Yates, Justin Harbour, and Michael Lee will serve as honorary pallbearers. A committal service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Greenhills Memory Gardens, in Cedar Bluff, Va., with Minister Mike Rife officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Forest Hills Chapel.
