Patricia Laverne Long Johnson, age 59, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Abingdon Health & Rehab Center. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Long.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Johnson; mother, Lottie Childress Sheffield of Abingdon, VA; brothers, Gary Long of Abingdon, VA and Glenn Long of Bristol, VA; sisters, Tina Norris of Bristol, VA, Lisa Castle of Abingdon, VA, Lori Hagy of Bluff City, VA, and Janice Robbins of Abingdon, VA; daughters, Leigh Kimberlin of Abingdon, VA and Leslie Smith of Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Shea DeForest. Patricia slipped away with a special place in her heart for her nieces, nephews, and step children.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Knollkreg Memorial Park with Pastor Charlie Harmon officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Family and friends wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to convene at the cemetery before 11:00 A.M. Wednesday.
