Paul F. Fullen, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, VA.
He was born March 24, 1940 in Saltville, VA to the late Frank Fullen and Eliza Oxendine Fullen. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Fullen and Donald Preston Fullen. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Buckner (Steve); two grandchildren, Brianna and Iris Buckner all of Keller, TX; two sisters, Ruby Fullen of Johnson City, TN and Virginia Fullen of Kingsport, TN; five brothers, George Fullen and Billy Fullen both of Abingdon, VA, Ennis Fullen of Meadowview, VA, Rudolph "Rudy" Fullen of Bristol, TN, and Ricky Fullen (Sharon) of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by three aunts, Lydia Fullen, Grace Oxendine, and Frances Johnson; two uncles, James Oxendine and James Hicks, special cousins, Jo Ann Richardson and Jesse Butler; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paul was baptized in Jesus' name August 20, 1989 at King's Chapel Church in Abingdon, VA.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Timothy Starkey officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the funeral home or any time at the home of George Fullen, 245 Morningside Ln. Abingdon, VA (276-676-4320). Casketbearers will be family and friends.
